Officially Feldgrau (Field Gray) woolen uniforms (which were actually a gray green color) were specified, but as mentioned, some outfits had the black Panzer uniform issued, and camouflage fabric was sometimes seen as well.
The collar piping should have been artillery red, but again, some units may have retained pink panzer crew piping if they were originally a tank unit.
First, these were Panzerjager (anti-tank) troops so the piping worn would invariably be pink. These vehicles were never considered Sturmartillerie like the Sturmgeschutze III, whose crew would have worn the red of artillery troops.
Next, these vehicles served either with independent anti-tank battalions or replaced tanks in some Panzer division battalions (so I've been given to understand.
When Panzerjager-Abteilung 654 re-equipped from Elephant to Jagdpanther, photographs clearly show the personnel wearing the field gray wool AFV uniform (commonly called the StuG uniform). The Panzer Totenkopf badge was worn on the collar patches of either field gray or black. (usually piped in pink waffenfarbe). It appears that any manner of issued denim clothing could have been worn during the first battles in Normandy. The most common would have been the 2nd pattern herringbone twill denim jacket and trousers. This is the set with the large chest and thigh pockets. The ordinary denim version of the field blouse was also evident. Camouflage clothing was extremely rare with only one officer in this unit seen wearing a custom jacket made from zeltbahn material.
When the unit refitted in the fall of 1944, the black Panzer uniform was seen as
standard. However, once again the reed green HBT denims were the common field uniform. Note that this was a loose fitting item that could be worn on it's own or over top of the wool uniform. This uniform was sometimes worn with the jacket tucked into the trousers and often the trousers only were worn showing the black panzer jacket.
It is possible that this was typical of other Jagdpanther units but perhaps not.
I don't believe that these vehicles ever served in Waffen-SS units so dot pattern camo was extremely unlikely.
